LET GOD FILL US UP!

So, my birthday is drawing close and I started meditating on how nice it would be to spend it with my Booboaz lol. I started reflecting on how most of my birthdays have been spent alone not really alone as in alone in the sense that I have family, friends and colleagues around me but not with a Booboaz.

So, I think what triggered this thought was, earlier that morning, everywhere was annoyingly wet, sticky, muddy and dirty as I was going to work. The rain wouldn’t fall while we slept to make our sleep sweeter #sleeplover LOL . It decided to rain while we got dressed to journey to work. 

Guess the most annoying part? I couldn’t find a tricycle. Don’t look at me that way like - “You mean you don’t have a car”. Well……. “Yes, I don’t YET!”.

God saw my struggle in trying not to get wet, hustling to hold an umbrella and my handbag. He made a car look towards my direction as I got to my semifinal bus stop to board a bus #thankYouJesus. 

A gentleman gave me a lift!

I hopped in with eyes pouring out the gratitude in my heart. My thought - "Clean fine boy" LOL. Him - “I am Lamide”. Me – "I am Ruth”. 

We got talking and he mentioned that he has always noticed me on my way to work every morning. My thought - "Hmmmmm who says no one is watching".

Clean white shirt. Neatly cut hair. Well-spoken with a neat car topped with a nice smell LOL. Don’t worry; your girl is still sanctified #winks. His ban-finger had a ring. You know that forward nosy voice in every girls’ inner inner just whispered – “It looks like fashion ring” LOL.

Still talking interestingly as we both enjoyed the conversation, he mentions – “my wife”. Me, in my thought, - “Hmmm fine boy is married”. Fast forward, I got to my destination and we exchanged business cards. 

Oh I forgot to add, he asked what my ideal man is and trust me I told him some lol. At least age has failed to contaminate my “lover girl persona, taste and fairy tale”💅💅💃💃- “The expectations of the righteous shall not be cut short” – Hallelujah. 

“Hopefully he hooks you up with one of his friends” that forward voice dared to whisper #rollsmyeyes. So, you see why homegirl got into this booed-up-mood!

So, while evening dreaming about the possible miracle of spending my birthday with my Booboaz, God was like - "won't you love to spend your birthday with Me". The question diluted my excitement and to be honest at that moment, there was nothing in me that wanted to spend my birthday with God but, because it is God, I was trying to pad it up even though I was 100% not excited. 

The thing is, God sees our hearts and motives, He can never be fooled. He is way ahead of all our foolishness. God went on and added - "Until I fill you up, any man I give to you, you will make a god".

Our Joy is like an Ocean when God Fills Us!

As much as I wouldn't want to accept this because I love God and wouldn't want to be like I love Him less or I love anything more, at that moment that He said that to me, in my heart, I knew it was the truth. Ok, let me tell you why I said that what God said to me was TRUTH- I remember a time I was dating someone and went to see him and he wanted to kiss me. I was fasting (100 abi 50 days Redeem fast)  so, I told him I couldn’t.  He complained about how he’s been good with not wanting the milk before buying the cow and only wants a kiss because he is travelling the next day and won't see me for long. He misses me already. So, I broke my fast and kissed him.

Yes I am that type of Girl so God knew what he was saying plus He is been helping me and I have grown from that.

Have you ever really wanted to get something or achieve something. You have also planned your celebration party in your head, like how you will lift your hands, close your eyes, change your phonetics, garnished with some impeccable English and ensure your church members get all the juicy details as you give your testimony and in-between testify like you had to put more effort than God. Or, have you ever planed on how your haters on social media will "Take It!" because you are ready to "Give them!" when you arrive. 

So, you finally arrive and it just feels normal with no extras. In fact, some of us still feel empty or pressured after a long-awaited miracle is manifested. We don't know how to handle what we have attained. We feel strange!  

If you have felt this, you are not alone, there have been times I have felt this way too at various points in my life. But, have you ever wondered why we felt NORMAL without ANY EXTRAS after a long-awaited miracle manifests, this is because, NO MAN/ WOMAN OR THING CAN FILL US.

Yesssssss NO MAN no matter how complete can ever satisfy us. This only person who CAN is GOD. Man (both male and female) has the tendency of taking back gifts, affection and attention when their emotions change towards us but God never does.

God filling us means that, we are content in terms of "GOD IS ENOUGH" whatever comes after is simply "An Addition". Until this happens, we will keep overwhelming ourselves and other people with the responsibility of filling a void that only God can fill.

A lot  of us if not all of us are like the Samaritan Woman in John 4vs4. Until Jesus poured into her, she never stopped wanting and couldn't even pour out. 

Do we want to live like a bird notwithstanding our Season, Challenge, Loss, Insecurities, Fears or Long Wait, let's give God an unrestricted access everyday and watch him give us THE SATISFACTION that sex, drugs, people bondage, lack, poverty, generational curse, heartbreak, depression, worry, anxiety, inferiority complex, man-addiction, porn, masturbation can never drown. 

ONLY GOD CAN BE THE SUFFICIENT KING OF OUR HEART!!!!!
