SPIRITUAL SPA!

                                                         

A Spa is a place where people most especially Ladies indulge in beauty rituals such as - massages, facial, makeup application, body scrubs, electrolysis, manicure and pedicures, exfoliation, wraps and packs, aromatherapy, hair services like cutting, styling and colouring, all these beauty rituals are intended towards been more attractive and getting their GLOW ON😉.

I can remember during a heart-to-heart moment when the Holy Spirit downloaded "Spiritual Spa" to me and I progressed to make a post on it for my co Precious Rubies on IG. He shared that Quiet Time is a required Spiritual Spa that every Lady MUST have. 

A Spiritual Spa CATERS to us flowing from our internal self to our physical. This means that in this place of eternal beauty, the Holy Spirit teaches us how to be filled with love for ourselves that we would pick an Apple over a wrap of shawarma - simplified!. There is an internal beauty and peace that comes with consistently lighting the Candle at our Spiritual Spa. 

One of the Ticks of the Clock of Singlehood is the echo from the external dictating what could and should be in our lives. These ticks either drawn us or, we shut it down! I can tell you from experience that one sure way of shutting down these ticks which could be- The voice of society; An unhappy busy body Auntie who is constantly reminding you of how she had all her babies before 26; A close sister friend who is obsessed with taking pictures of engagement rings and sending them to you; A younger sister who is on an aproko mission of tagging you in all Bella Naija wedding videos or Igbo amaka wedding videos  because she feels you are causing traffic on the family "next to marry cue" lol; A Church Usher that compliments you with a "you are next oooo sister Ruth" each time a wedding is announced in Church; A Mama Nkechi who reminds your Mom that she is not putting enough fire in your bumbum by feeding her with the latest Introduction, Wine Carrying and Wedding gist in the neighbourhood; The annoying amebo voice of a sibling who sarcastically insults you by pretending to compliment you when one of your pretty Uni friends visits with lines like "Una just fine dey waste for house....Old age dey come sha" lol. The list goes on and on but, I know you know what i mean so, add yours..... 

So, one way of shutting down these ticks is by being intentional and consistent with our Spiritual Spa and fortifying ourselves with eternal beauty rituals such as - Worship, Praises, Dancing, Waring, Laughing, Crying on the Father's shoulders, Resting, Bible Study, Journal, Christian Literature Listening to God's Voice and Pouring out our Hearts, asking Him questions, Unmasking and so much more. In this Spa also known as our Quiet Time, Jesus constantly reminds us of how precious we are regardless of whether we have a mate or not which on the contrary, according to the echo of the ticks, our been precious is determined by having a mate - BIG LIE!

We don't question our value because our precious Father has secured us in an unwavering definition of who we are - "Fearfully and Wonderfully made"Psalm 139vs14. We are not tossed back and forth in the confusion of the echo because mate attached or not, we are - Precious, Covered, Priceless, Valued, Beautiful, Special, Needed, Sexy, Blameless and most of all, Worthy!

There are inexhaustible beauty secrets that are whispered by the Holy Spirit by lighting the candle at our Spiritual Spa. Downloads of cultures that would feed our spirits with Joy, Peace, Patience, Self Control, Contentment, Love, Godliness and Goodness are experienced at our Spiritual Spa. One of the factors that has made me a happy and joyful single in fact an unpretentious joyful single is how my spirit is fed at my Spiritual Spa - Note that it could be Morning or Evening but, ensure it is scheduled at a time that you are bright and up and most importantly be consistent. When you are behind schedule, always apologise to the Holy Spirit for keeping Him waiting and watch Him help you stay through!

Sometimes, the strength of my peace and joy scares me that i constantly have to ask myself that, hope I'm not nonchalant about the fact that I am still expecting Mr. Adam lol. Well, we need to check because we are smart enough to learn from the foolish virgins. I must add that, I didn't grow into this joyful and peaceful Lady over night, I have been desperate and did very stupid stuff ( #Aside: which will be gist for later). 

Like i was saying girl😓, it took a while to grown into this Lady who is confidently and unpretentiously joyful, peaceful and full of the fruit of the spirit even though some fruit are still a bit unripe😕 #workinprogress# . External beauty although hyped, can be altered, can depreciate with age and poor maintenance but, internal beauty when cultivated and nurtured at the Spiritual Spa, gets better like fine wine through consistency and obedience. 

So Ladies, we cant let the echos of the ticks of the Clock drawn us into confused, desperate, unkept and unhappy singles💪💪. We need to keep the candle on and burning in fact, let the fragrance from our lighted candle progress from plain plain to alluring sweet smelling savour that it keeps us longer in the Sspa not just longer but totally Locked In! . 

Psalm27vs4 - "The one thing I ask of the LORD--the thing I seek most--is to live in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, delighting in the LORD's perfections and meditating in his Temple"
